Our Story

QuantMinds began with a bold vision: to create a global hub where quantitative finance professionals could connect, learn, and grow. Established by Fiona Taft, a seasoned quant career professional, QuantMinds bridges the gap between academia and professional Quantitative Finance.

Fiona Taft founded QuantMinds in 2024 to create a dedicated platform for the quantitative finance community. With experience in leadership roles at Stanford University and UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, she is committed to building a collaborative space where professionals can connect, innovate, and advance their careers.

Fiona Taft is the Chief Executive Officer of QuantMinds, a global community where finance and quantitative professionals come together to collaborate, grow, and unlock new opportunities. Under her leadership, QuantMinds has become a premier platform for advancing knowledge and building connections in the fields of quantitative finance and financial engineering. Her visionary approach has positioned QuantMinds as a leading hub for professionals shaping the future of finance.

Fiona’s career is built on a foundation of academic excellence and industry collaboration. Before joining QuantMinds, she held leadership roles at two of the world’s most prestigious institutions: Stanford University and UC Berkeley. At Stanford, Fiona played a key role as Associate Director of Programs in Executive Education at the Graduate School of Business, where she designed and managed innovative initiatives for senior executives, entrepreneurs, and public-sector leaders.

Fiona later joined UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business as the Executive Director of the Master of Financial Engineering (MFE) Program, where she led the program to global prominence. She strengthened industry partnerships, enhanced alumni engagement, and ensured exceptional career outcomes for students. Her strategic leadership solidified the program’s reputation as a global leader, with graduates excelling in financial services, quantitative research, and technology.
Fiona is deeply committed to mentoring and empowering individuals. She leverages her extensive professional network and industry expertise to guide students and professionals toward success in competitive environments.
